Al-Husayni Madressah

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) has told us to "Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave" - and the Al-Husayni Madressah seeks to implement this teaching by running a weekly Sunday school to empower Muslim children and youth with the knowledge necessary to be good citizens and up-right Muslims.


Book Translation and Publication

With more than 20 publications over the past 7 years, the Islamic Humanitarian Service's Book Translation and Publication department seeks to educate Muslims and non-Muslims alike about various aspects of the faith of Islam. Market Place

Knowledge is power - and the Islamic Humanitarian Service's Market Place stocks Canada's largest selection of books on Islamic themes, including over 30 books we have published! We also carry DVDs, CDs and other Islamic materials.


Muslim Youth Association

The youth are the future for our communities and the Muslim Youth Association is striving to connect the Muslim youth across Canada with one another so as to grow and benefit from each others' experiences.


United Muslim Women of Canada

Active in many cities across Canada serving women of all backgrounds, the United Muslim Women of Canada is working to make a difference in the lives of countless individuals.

From approximately 52 Sundays in a year, we have approximately 48 'useable' days for Madressah. From these 48 days, some are reserved for examinations, reviews, fun-days and holidays to mark various Islamic occasions - such as Muharram, Eid and the like. Thus, the below calendar reflects the 2006-2007 school year. Please note that days in RED signify HOLIDAYS for the students.
