Special HALALOWEEN program PDF Print E-mail

Salaamun alaikum

The Al-Husayni Madressa is having a special HALALOWEEN program open to everyone on Wednesday, October 31st at the IHS Centre for children and youth of all ages, to get them to come to the centre and do some fun Islamic things- rather than go out door-to-door trick-or-treating!!

The program will begin at 7:00pm with Salatul Jama'at, a short talk and question-answer on Halloween by Shaykh Shafiq Hudda, and then we will have some fun activities for everyone to do. Insha-Allah we will finish the program by 9:00pm.

We need lots of volunteers to help out!  Anyone wishing to bring snacks or treats for the event, or wishing to help out with the games and activities for the children are requested to contact the Principal, Sr. Arifa Hudda at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Kids can"dress up" with their nice clothes on, as it will also be the Wiladat of the 10th Imam, Imam Ali un-Naqi al-Hadi.  But NO Halloween outfits are allowed.

Children can bring in their own electronics, (such as playbooks, or Ipads...,) to play with friends, or board games that they wish to play in groups.  However, they will have to take responsibility for these themselves. We just want this to be a fun evening for everyone.  Parents are welcome to come, socialize and help out!

Please ensure that everyone observes proper ISLAMIC DRESS CODE.

Introduction to Islam

Dennis Wholley meets Imam Hassan Qazwini, leader of the Islamic Centre in Dearborn, Michigan, to discuss the fundamental beliefs of Islam, and remove any misconceptions the general public may have. Many  Non-muslims have the idea that the Islamic clerics and leaders are hostile and unapproachable, however Dennis Wholley shows that the Islamic leaders (Imams) are normal people like you and I, striving for a better future for upcoming generations.
