As-Salaam Alaykum - السلام علیکم

Programs to be held at 81 Hollinger Crescent (IHS Centre) for this week are as follows:
 
 
1) On Thursday, May 19th  (12th Day of Sha'baan) we will be celebrating the Wilaadat of the Imam of our time, Imam-e-Zamana,  peace be upon him, and holding the Thursday (Shabe Jumu'ah) program. The program will begin at 7:15pm(PLEASE NOTE TIME) with the recitation of Quran, Surah Yaseen, Dua Kumayl, Qaseeda,  Live Skype Majlis by Shaykh Saleem Bhimji,  Ziyarat, followed by Salatul Maghribain at prime time.Refreshments will be served.

Please note: Anyone wishing to recite Quran, Duas, Matam or anything, is requested to let Sy. You need JavaScript enabled to view it There will be a special kids class in the library for ages 7-13 years taught by Al-Hajj Zaman al-Khafagi. Please note age, younger kids are not allowed in the class as they distract the other children.  Please note that this class will take place AFTER Dua Kumayl, and will run until the Salaat time.
2) On Friday, May 20th (13th Day of Sha'baan) Salatul Jumu'ah will begin at 1:18 pm.
3) On Saturday, May 21st (14th Day of Sha'baan and 15th night) we will be preparing for the Shabe Bara'at and the 15th night of Sha'baan.  Program will begin at 8:00pm with the recitation of Quran, Hadeeth-e-Kisa, Qaseeda, and Short talk by Syed Taha Taqvi on the importance and specifics of this night.  We will have
Salatul Maghribain at prime time, followed by a short break for those who are fasting to be able to have their iftaar.  After this at approximately 10pm we will begin the A'maal for this holy night, which consists of Dua Kumayl, 3 Surah Yaseen, some specific Duas, and we will end off with Ziyarat Ale Yaseen.

Anyone wishing reciting anything during the A'maals are requested to sign up with Sy. Taha ahead of time please.
Also the IS Jama'at EC  and members wish to specifically thank the IHS for allowing us to use the centre on this Saturday night and a special thanks also to the Arab community for changing their program to another day to accommodate for the A'maal on this night.
4) On Friday, May 27th beginning at 7pm SHARP, the IS Jama'at of WW is organizing a  special Sisters only Seminar on Salatul Jama'at,
Program  will begin at 7pm with Dua Samaat, followed by presentation on Rules and Method of performing Salaat in Jama'at, by Sr. Arifa Hudda.  Thereafter we will have Salatul Maghribain, followed by light dinner.Anyone wishing to help out with bringing the food, can please contact Sr. Toba Anwar at    This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .We are looking for girls to help out with the presentation, in which we will do skits and show practical ways of how to join the salat, and also common mistakes that are made and how to improve them. We will be arranging a day to get together to go over this, once we have enough girls signed up for it.

Introduction to Islam

Dennis Wholley meets Imam Hassan Qazwini, leader of the Islamic Centre in Dearborn, Michigan, to discuss the fundamental beliefs of Islam, and remove any misconceptions the general public may have. Many  Non-muslims have the idea that the Islamic clerics and leaders are hostile and unapproachable, however Dennis Wholley shows that the Islamic leaders (Imams) are normal people like you and I, striving for a better future for upcoming generations.

The Islamic Humanitarian Service drop-in centre is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer a fully-stocked Islamic book store, Library and area for offering daily prayers - including the only centre in the KW Region which offers Salaatul Jumu'ah [Friday prayer service].
