As-Salaam Alaykum - السلام علیکم

Programs to be held at 81 Hollinger Crescent (IHS Centre) for this week are as follows:
 
 
1) On Thursday, June 16th (10th Day of the month of Ramadhan) we will be commemorating the Wafat of Lady Khadijah, peace be upon her, and holding the Thursday (Shabe Jumu'ah) program.  Program will begin at 7:15pm with the recitation of Surah Yaseen, Dua Kumayl, Duas for the month of Ramadhan,  Lecture by Seyed Hadi Sajedi (please see below for his biography),  Ziyarat-e-Waritha, followed by Salatul Maghribain at prime time.Seyed Hadi Sajedi was born 1983 in Kazeroun, Iran. He moved to Qum to start his religious studies in the Hawza (Seminary) of Qum right after getting his diploma from high school. He is still studying in the Qum Hawza at the PhD level. Simultaneously, he did his master at Baqir Al-Ulum University in Philosophy of social sciences and then started his PhD in the same field of study. He is working on his PhD thesis now.  He is in Waterloo right now studying on an exchange program.
 
There will be full Iftaar dinner following Salat sponsored by anonymous donors.  
 
The Childrens separate classes in the library will NOT be held during the month of Ramadhan.  Insha-Allah we will resume them after the holy month.

2) On Friday, June 17th (11th Day of the month of Ramadhan) Salatul Jumu'ah will begin at 1:22 pm led by Shaykh Shafiq Hudda.

Introduction to Islam

Dennis Wholley meets Imam Hassan Qazwini, leader of the Islamic Centre in Dearborn, Michigan, to discuss the fundamental beliefs of Islam, and remove any misconceptions the general public may have. Many  Non-muslims have the idea that the Islamic clerics and leaders are hostile and unapproachable, however Dennis Wholley shows that the Islamic leaders (Imams) are normal people like you and I, striving for a better future for upcoming generations.

Drop-In Centre

The Islamic Humanitarian Service drop-in centre is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer a fully-stocked Islamic book store, Library and area for offering daily prayers - including the only centre in the KW Region which offers Salaatul Jumu'ah [Friday prayer service]. To book visits or if you require a speaker for your public school or event, please contact us. For off-time visitation to purchase books, browse through our library or other assistance, contact the Staff Secretary:
